Synthos Press • Authors
The writer behind the current list.
Synthos Press is currently built around the work of Ian Wilkinson: evidence-led non-fiction on ownership, persuasion, and the quiet systems people are taught to accept as normal.

Current author
Ian Wilkinson
Ian Wilkinson writes about the interests, incentives, and narratives that shape everyday life while pretending not to. His work examines the point where commercial logic becomes ordinary common sense and where familiar explanations stop being the whole explanation.
His books for Synthos Press, Nothing to Show for It and The Quiet Con, approach different subjects with the same underlying concern: how arrangements that benefit powerful interests come to feel natural, harmless, or beyond serious question.
Current shape
A coherent list, still intentionally small.
Synthos Press is still a small independent press. What matters at this stage is not breadth, but coherence: a body of work that feels deliberate, exacting, and worth following.
The point is not to imply a larger roster than exists. It is to give readers a clear sense of the writer behind the books and the line of inquiry that connects the work.
From here, the clearest next step is into the books themselves, and then into the essays that widen the same questions.
